The Home Office have announced that UK Immigration fees and Immigration Health Surcharge fees will be increased by at least 15%-20%. This kind of increase has not been seen in some time.
It is said that the Immigration Health Surcharge will increase from £624 to £1,035 per year. All Visit Visa types will rise by 15%, and student visas, certificates of sponsorship, settlement, citizenship, entry clearance and leave to remain applications will rise by 20%
The increases are further attempts by the Home Office to restrict applicants and present further hurdles in making applications to remain in the UK.
